Building a Neighborhood Community

Since our founding in 2006, Chabad Sutton has welcomed thousands of diverse Jewish people to learn, celebrate, and grow together. Whether it is a youngster creating a holiday-themed art project, an adult delving into Torah study, a retiree immersed in Shabbat services, or a couple involved in community service, Chabad offers inspiration and friendship for Jews of every age and stage.
Now is the perfect time to match the burgeoning growth of Sutton Place with the establishment of the Chabad Sutton Townhouse as the permanent home of Jewish life for the community.

Manhattan Jewish Montessori is a true gem of a preschool. My eldest attended MJM for 3 years and our whole family loved every minute. Warm, smart, caring, and calm, the teachers are truly invested in the well-being and growth of each child. [...] As a parent, nothing warms my heart more than seeing my children flourish. My youngest now attends the “Baby Loves Shabbat” program and asks to go every day. [...] MJM is more than just a preschool — it is a supportive community of teachers, parents, and friends — and our family feels so fortunate to have found a place there.

We cannot say enough good things about Chabad Sutton Place, Manhattan Jewish Montessori and the Metzger Family. They have created an incredible sense of Jewish Community for all that live here - from Menorah lightings, to services in the Sukkah, to Purim parties, they go above and beyond to include everyone and make it fun. My daughter attends the Hebrew School and is so excited every week to learn about Judaism. The teachers are beyond kind and caring. We are so grateful to MJM and Chabad Sutton Place!

—Amanda and Steven Weinreb

We were really blessed to have found MJM as the first experience of school for our kids. The warmth, love, kindness, creativity, educational approach, program, core values, as well as the amazing teachers, all contributed to make it the best experience for our kids and our family we could ask for. I can’t think of a better foundation for them, and I highly recommend for anyone who’s considering MJM not to think twice. I feel like it was the best choice I made when it comes to early childhood
